Johnsons Stalbridge Linen Services Managing Director
Donald Smith has recently been appointed Managing Director of Johnsons Stalbridge Linen Services. Donald has worked for the company since 1987, when Stalbridge was a fledgling business, and has held several different Operational and Commercial positions throughout his 27 year service. He therefore possesses a vast knowledge of the customers, processes and staff, helping to formulate the culture of service and quality that the company has become synonymous with.
A keen sportsman, Donald has represented local clubs at cricket, football and rugby and in spite of beckoning retirement you might still find him gracing the North Dorset Rugby Club pitches on the occasional Saturday.
Match appearances are restricted in part by the presence of four sons, Alec (15), Leo (11), Hugo (2) and Fraser (3 months). Partner Clare is a Mathematics Teacher, but presently is taking a work sabbatical to look after the emerging Smith dynasty.
Donald’s aspirations for the business are to be the industry leaders in service and quality and to foster a culture of success and achievement for employees and local talent, whilst delivering strong financial results and supporting the long term strategy and direction of Johnson Service Group.
