Credit Controller

Location: Shaftesbury

CREDIT CONTROLLER, WINCOMBE, SHAFTESBURY - TEMPORARY MATERNITY COVER FOR UP TO 12 MONTHS

As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the continued reduction of debt for your own customer base, whilst maximising cash flow and maintaining good relationships with both external and internal customers.

Key tasks include:

  • Running weekly aged debt reports to identify customers with overdue invoices and ensuring action is taken if they fail to pay in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with the appropriate department to ensure incoming queries are dealt efficiently to ensure prompt payment.
  • Setting up and maintaining direct debit payments.
  • Cash posting and sales ledger reconciliations, including calculating and deducting discounts from the payments received.

Applicants will need:

  • Excellent organisational skills to meet various deadline and prioritise your workload.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Be articulate with strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • A sound working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft and Excel essential.
  • Previous credit control experience would be advantageous, and proven office experience essential.
  • Flexible and proactive in your approach and be able to work on your own initiative as well as within the team.
